Privacy Policy

Intellisense is designed with privacy as a default. We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the service and never sell your personal information to third parties.

When you use Intellisense, we may collect:

• Account data — email address and authentication tokens when you create an account or sign in.
• Usage data — number of AI actions used, feature type (e.g. grammar fix, translation), and timestamps. We do not store the text content of your requests beyond what is needed to process them.
• Payment data — handled entirely by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store card numbers or billing details.
• Technical data — browser version, extension version, and error logs for debugging purposes.

• We do not read, store, or log the content of web pages you visit.
• We do not retain the text you submit for AI processing after the request is complete.
• We do not track your browsing history.
• Autocorrect processing happens locally on your device — no text is sent to our servers.

We use collected data to:

• Authenticate your account and enforce subscription limits.
• Process AI requests via our backend API.
• Diagnose errors and improve service reliability.
• Send transactional emails (receipts, subscription updates) — no marketing without consent.

We use the following third-party services:

• Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Clerk — authentication. Subject to Clerk's Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI / AI providers — AI inference. Text submitted for AI processing is subject to the provider's data usage policies. We use API access, which means your data is not used to train models.

Account data is retained while your account is active. Usage counters are reset monthly. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email privacy@intellisense.app.

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice in the extension.
